Field Day 2006 at the Marshall County EOC

The Central Iowa Radio Amateur Society will be participating again in this year's field day activities. In previous years, field day has been held at various places around central Iowa. Most recently the club has used the National Guard armory in Marshalltown to house our field day activities.

At the last general meeting, a decision was made to move the field day site to the Marshall County EOC which is located downtown in the basement of the police department. There were several reasons for the move including a National Guard training exercise on the same weekend. In addition, there were not enough firm commitments for muscle to erect our usual field day setup, so something more simple was chosen.
