C.I.R.A.S. Central Iowa Radio Amateur Society

The C.I.R.A.S. Repeater Committee has released some operational rules and guidelines governing the acceptable use of the club's repeaters. These rules can be found attached to this story as well as located as a link on the Repeaters section of the club website.

They will also be available on every page of the club website on the left side under the "Important Links" heading. Several other local, non club sponsored, repeaters have also adopted this set of guidelines including:

The June 2008 C.I.R.A.S. club meeting will have a special program following the regular meeting. Bill McLain, K0LXS, will give a talk on proper grounding techniques.

The June meeting will be on June 12th at 7:00 p.m. (eat at 6:30 p.m.) at the Hy-Vee Deli in Marshalltown Iowa.

Gilman Site Report:

PA in 444.150 is ill (still working but in need of repair). Other than that building is there. Report given by Ryan Butler (KB0JQO)

The Next CIRAS Meeting will be Thursday October 11th 2007. Time and place will be the same Hy-Vee Deli eat at 6:30 PM and meeting to take place at 7:00 PM. Members present voted to suspend meetings for two months due to everyones busy summer schedules.
